WASLI Regional Representative – Europe
Marco Nardi
Although born in Italy (Florence 12/07/68) Marco is now based in the city of “Brighton and Hove”, England.
He currently works as a British Sign Language/English interpreter, Interpreter Trainer, Presenter, Lecturer, Italian Sign Language/Italian and occasionally in International Sign.
He has been a member of ANIOS (Italian Sign Language Interpreters Association) since 1991 and served on the Board of ‘efsli’ since 1995 the last 2 years 2004-2006 as President.
He is a member of ASLI (the Association of Sign Language Interpreters for England, Wales and Northern Ireland) and has sat on the National Executive.
Marco was elected as the WASLI representative for Europe at the WASLI inaugural conference in South Africa 2005. He has agreed to serve a further term of one-year at the WASLI 2007 conference in Segovia.
“I am proud to be presenting the region of Europe and will be working closely with ‘efsli’, national interpreter associations and with contacts in countries who do not yet have an interpreter association to further the work of WASLI.”
