At the WASLI 2007 General Membership meeting there were proposals that changed the wording in regards to Sponsoring Individual Membership (Chapter 3, Article 4) to the terms of office for Executive Board members (Chapter 7, Article 6).

Also at this meeting, a new region called the Balkans Region was established.

Later at the Conference and at the request of the delegates from the South America region, it was agreed to change the name to Latino America.

Also under Chapter 8 Article 1 of the Governing Document, the WASLI Executive Board appointed individuals to further develop the work of the Association in the Africa and Latino America Regions. Please see the Executive Board and Appendix C for details.
